Our mission is to make a meaningful and significant difference for advocacy organizations, nonprofits and socially driven businesses that are committed to building stronger communities and making the world a better place.The Position – Account Executive The Account Executive (AE) plays a lead role on client accounts, managing day-to-day client activities, projects and teams at a tactical level and playing a critical role on the development of client strategy with support from senior team members. The AE has a strong understanding of media relations and strong success rate of placing stories. They possess strong written and verbal communication and time management skills. They also have the ability to manage multiple projects at a tactical level. As they grow into a management role on accounts, AEs will inspire and cultivate junior team members and peers. A successful AE will ensure client satisfaction and maintain efficiency and productivity on client accounts. They will work with minimal guidance on tactical activities and will be supervised and supported by senior team members and senior management on client strategy. Core Duties & Objectives ManagementManage 2-4 accounts or act as key member of large accountsEffectively manage account team members, including proper delegation of workProvide guidance to and be a mentor for junior staff and internsManage multiple projects by anticipating challenges and ensuring adherence to deadlinesMedia RelationsManage media relations including creating and executing outreach plans, message development, management of events, media training of spokespersons and growth of contact networkDemonstrate creative thinking when developing pitches for clients and keen understanding of the media landscapeSecure consistent and quality placements on a regular basis in top-tier print publications, in online news sources and on broadcast mediaEstablish strong relationships with media relevant to your client to generate awareness of client’s products, services, thought leadership or activitiesDevelop effective press materials such as pitches, press releases, op-ed articles, or case studies media kitsStrategyCreate and support on the development of public relations and communications plans that meet client objectivesClient RelationsServe as a day-to-day client liaison and establish successful, productive relationships with client contactsProvide client service support including attending meetings, meeting deadlines and troubleshooting issuesDevelop weekly agendas, call recaps and media reports for client accountsSocial MediaSupport on creation and implementation of social media campaigns for clientsGeneral Expectations:Communicate effectively (written and verbal)Work as a self-starterOffer ideas and take initiativePay meticulous attention to detailBe organized and efficientPrioritize tasks and manage time in a consistent mannerMaintain a positive attitude and have a sense of humorDemonstrate respect for co-workersWork well on a small teamDisplay passion for social justice and advocacy causesBasic Candidate Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university3 - 5 years’ experience in public relations, communications and/or a related field (nonprofits, advocacy/mission-driven organizations, political campaigning, PR agencies, etc.)Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent verbal and written communications skillsExperience with Cision and additional PR management toolsTactical understanding of social media and social networking tools (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Snapchat, etc.)Overall CompensationCompetitive market-based compensation package.Company PerksExcellent vacation package, professional development stipend, wellness stipend, health insurance plan (paid for by TASC), dental and vision, Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), 401(k) with employer matching funds, PTO program, summer Fridays, WFH days per quarter, bi-annual team retreats, cell phone reimbursement, commuter pre-tax benefit, frequent company paid for team lunches, TASC university sessions and best practices coaching, strong work-life balance is encouraged and a positive, supportive culture is at the heart of our firm.Diversity and InclusionDiversity and inclusion are critical values and pillars at our firm.
