Distribution Overhead Lineman C
Key Responsibilities:Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead electrical lines and related equipment.Climb poles and use proper safety gear under the supervision of a higher-class lineman.String wire, install hardware, transformers, and other system components under supervision.Operate and maintain tools and equipment such as line trucks, aerial lifts, hand tools, and power tools.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.Follow all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.Perform groundman duties as required including handling tools, materials, and equipment.Assist with emergency and storm restoration work as required (often outside regular hours).Learn and adhere to company and industry standards and procedures.Attend training sessions and demonstrate progress in gaining skills required for Lineman B.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Basic understanding of electrical theory and safety procedures.Ability to climb poles using proper equipment.Familiarity with hand and power tools used in line work.Good physical condition; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.Strong teamwork and communication skills.Willingness to learn and take direction from senior personnel.Working Conditions:Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.Exposure to high voltage electricity, heights, and hazardous equipment.On-call availability for emergency repairs and storm response.Physical work that includes climbing, lifting, and carrying heavy materials.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
