Paving Foreman - Construction OperationsOverviewA growing construction organization is seeking an experienced Paving Foreman to lead field crews and oversee paving operations. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can manage crews, operate equipment, and drive projects to successful completion.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise paving crews to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality workPlan and execute daily operations in coordination with the SuperintendentAssign tasks, manage crew productivity, and ensure timely project completionOversee all paving activities, including site layout, marking, and executionEnsure proper use, maintenance, and readiness of equipment and toolsMonitor labor, materials, and equipment to control project costs and timelinesIdentify and resolve issues impacting quality, schedule, or budgetCoordinate materials, subcontractors, and crew resourcesMaintain accurate daily reports, including labor, materials, and job progressEnsure compliance with safety regulations, PPE requirements, and DOT standardsMaintain a clean, organized, and secure job siteBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team membersLeadership & Team ManagementTrain, mentor, and develop crew members to improve performance and efficiencyEnforce company policies, safety standards, and performance expectationsConduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedbackPromote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environmentRecognize strong performance and address disciplinary issues as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver's license5+ years of construction experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory roleHands-on experience with paving or grading operations and related equipmentStrong leadership, communication, and team management skillsAbility to read plans/drawings and understand project scopeBasic math and reporting skillsAbility to make quick, effective decisions in the fieldPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift 100+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasksFrequent walking, climbing, bending, and use of hands and armsGood vision, hearing, and communication abilitiesWork EnvironmentOutdoor construction sites with exposure to varying weather conditionsWork around heavy equipment and potential safety hazardsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurance (employer-supported)401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holiday payPerformance-based bonus opportunitiesAdditional InformationFull-time, field-based roleMay require extended hours depending on project needsCommitment to safety, quality, and teamwork is essential
