Director of Housekeeping and Laundry Come join us at St. Patrick's Manor! A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1960. We are seeking to hire a Director of Housekeeping and Laundry. $65K to $85K based on skills and experience. Director of Housekeeping and Laundry Qualifications: High School Diploma or the equivalent. Previous Housekeeping and Supervisory experience required. Spanish and/or Portuguese language skill preferred. Experience in Long-Term Care preferred. Director of Housekeeping and Laundry Job Summary: Supervise Housekeeping and Laundry staff. Prepare daily assignment schedules. Make daily rounds to insure instructions and safety are followed. Instruct personnel in the use of equipment and cleaning methods. Train new employees, assign duties and closely supervise until fully trained. Recommend personnel actions such as transferring, discipline or termination. Maintain an inventory of cleaning materials, supplies, and equipment. Inspect equipment and furnishings such as washers, dryers, beds, cabinets, chairs, screens, and fans. Inspect garbage disposal to confirm it meets safety, health, and sanitation regulations. Manage sufficient collection and distribution of linen and supplies. Keep record of areas that have been cleaned or painted.
