Job SummaryThe Research Associate is responsible for organizing, executing, and reporting non-GLP rodent toxicology, pharmacokinetics/toxicokinetics (PK/TK), and investigative studies to support drug discovery and development. This position involves hands-on in vivo work, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional scientific teams in a fast-paced research environment.ResponsibilitiesPlan and support pre-study activities, including protocol development, animal ordering, and test article preparationPerform dosing, sample collection (blood/tissue), clinical observations, necropsy, and other in vivo procedures in rodentsConduct dose calculations and prepare dosing formulationsCollect, manage, and QC study data using electronic systems and spreadsheetsAnalyze and visualize data using tools such as Excel or GraphPad PrismDraft study reports and collaborate with investigators to finalize resultsPresent updates in team and research meetingsMaintain compliance with SOPs, safety standards, and animal welfare regulationsSupport process efficiency and adapt to changing project prioritiesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Biology or related field with 5+ years of relevant rodent research experienceHands-on experience with dosing (SC, IV, PO, IT, IM) and blood collection techniques in rodentsKnowledge of rodent anatomy, necropsy, and tissue collection methodsProficiency in Microsoft Office and GraphPad Prism; experience with electronic data capture systems preferredSolid understanding of nonclinical drug discovery/development and research principlesKnowledge of animal welfare guidelines; ALAT/LAT certification a plusAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive, standing laboratory work
