Your work here will directly impact on how our products are built and delivered.About The RoleThe Field Service Technician is responsible for equipment maintenance and repair, and for documenting related repairs and services. This position also recommends changes in systems, programs, and equipment to improve reliability, increase capability, and/or reduce customer costs. The field service technician performs the following duties in the field with minimal supervision and coaching.Key ResponsibilitiesPerforms periodic scheduled and preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned by DispatchResponsible for accurately troubleshooting chemical, mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, PLC controllers and power supplies. Performs diagnostic analysisProvide sound technical assistance to all customers and distributorsProvide on-site technical training for customer personnel pertaining to use, operation, and maintenanceMay assist in the installation of new carwash equipmentPerforms repairs and corrects malfunctions as necessaryModifies or updates equipment when requiredMaintains tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional mannerMaintains all company owned and leased equipment in proper conditionOperate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, while obeying local laws and regulationsMay work with processes that are unique or peculiar to customer needsInvolved in the problem-solving process regarding customer complaintsInterfaces with customers and related company personnel to ensure effective communication and dissemination of information required in establishing superior customer serviceKeep abreast of new developments and innovations leading to improved departmental and company performanceAccurately perceives information from others. Assures appropriate flow of information and reports matters clearly, concisely, and accurately.Qualifications3-5 years field experience Requires technical knowledge and ability to develop improved methods for fulfilling responsibilities. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are a must.
