Join our team and make an impact that lasts.As a Reading Specialist at The Spire School, you'll provide high quality, data driven literacy instruction that helps students unlock their academic potential and build confidence as learners. You will support college bound students in grades 6 through 12 by delivering personalized reading instruction aligned with the school's mission and philosophy.What You'll NeedMaster's degree and a valid Connecticut teaching license with endorsement 102 or eligibility for licensure in ConnecticutFormal training or certification in Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or another multisensory structured reading approachAt least two years of experience supporting students with literacy or language-based learning differencesKnowledge of the IEP process, progress monitoring, and data based instructional planningStrong communication skills and a collaborative approach that support a small team environmentWhat You'll DoDeliver individualized and small group reading instruction using diagnostic and multisensory methodsAssess student skills, monitor progress, and document outcomes using formative and summative measuresDesign and implement structured literacy interventions that meet diverse learning profilesPartner with teachers and staff to embed reading strategies across content area instructionCommunicate regularly with students, families, and districts and participate in meetings as neededThe Spire School is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
