We firmly believe that words and actions matter, which is why all individuals are to be treated equally and with respect.The Admissions Department is responsible for delivering amazing customer service and maintaining exceptional first impressions for both prospective and existing guests.The Admissions Supervisor assists with managing the day-to-day operations of the Admissions department and trains hosts in the areas of guest services, general park knowledge, passes and tickets, and point of sale procedures. This position also assists with scheduling Admissions, Parking, and Guest Services hosts and addressing any guest concerns at the main gate.The ideal candidate will be friendly, have strong communication skills, and have a knack for exceptional customer service.We are currently looking for a:Adventureland Park - Admissions SupervisorRoles & Responsibilities:Supervisory Duties:Supervise the daily operations of the Admissions, Parking, and Guest Services team and any other assigned departmentsLead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Adventurelands core valuesAct as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned hostsEnsure compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe and productive environment for colleagues and guests.Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all admissions and front gate positions and backfill these positions when neededParticipate in all aspects of supervision of assigned hosts, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with Iowa lawAssist with team scheduling and timekeeping activitiesDepartmental Duties:Welcome guests to the park in a warm and friendly manner.Courteously assist guests with questions and complaintsEnsure that all POS financial transactions for parking lots are accurate and in-compliance with PCI standardsEnsure that the Main Gate operation remains clean and organized to maintain a great first impression for incoming guestsMaintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guests.Assist other Guest Experience departments as neededAll other duties assigned by leadershipEducation & Experience:No education requirements for this role1+ years of related work experience preferredPrevious amusement park, theme park, or waterpark experience preferredLanguage: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.Requirements:Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Iowa Child Labor LawsAbility to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysMust have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shiftAbility to comply with all uniform policiesMust possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional mannerAbility to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Must possess strong written and verbal communication skillsMust possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independentlyPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workdayAbility to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shouldersAbility to remain sedentary for extended periods of time, while using a computerAbility to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 20 pounds or moreWorking Conditions:This role will be based in both an office setting as well as frequent exposure to outdoor areas of the parkFrequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditionsSubject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activitiesTeam member benefits:Working at Adventureland is about making people happy!
