*Museum docent* *Location: Plano, TX* *12 months contract* *Description:* *What we’re looking for* *Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.* *What you’ll be doing* * *Welcoming visitors and making them feel welcome.* * *Conducting tours to VIPs, special groups. * * *Assisting visitors, answering questions.* * *Helping staff, includes some cleaning* * *Opening/closing procedures, turning exhibits on/off.* *Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves) – Highlight Top 3-5 skills* * *Must have excellent verbal communication skills.* * *Must be comfortable speaking to small and large groups of people.* * *Must be personable, have a positive attitude, flexible to changing situations.* * *Must be able to follow directions/processes* *Added bonus if you have (Preferred):* * *Automotive experience, car enthusiast* * *Languages – Spanish, Japanese, American Sign Language* * *Requirements:* *RM Notes –* * *· Candidates will be responsible working at TEC, welcoming the visitors, assisting them, answering any questions, etc.* * *· Manager is looking for candidates that are enthusiastic, friendly, welcoming, flexible, good team player, should have neat appearance at TEC, etc.* * *· The TEC facility is spread across 44,000 sq. ft. and the candidates will be spending most of their time walking around and assisting the visitors.* * *· During some special events, the candidates should be comfortable to work a little over the shift time to help around but they’d still be working around 8 hours on the days of these special events.* * *· Manager is good to see candidates that are fresh college graduates or interns IF they haven’t taken any full time roles. This is not a long term position with Toyota (No Guarantee of FTE conversion). Also, Toyota is not their employer of record, its the supplier - Please clear this with the candidate.* *Work Hours:* *A part-time docent to assist visitors and staff at the Client* * *Tuesday 10am-4:30/5pm* * *Wednesday 10am- 4:30/5pm* * *Thursday 10am- 4:30/5pm* * *Every other Mondays 2pm-4:30pm* * *Some evenings or weekends for special events, as needed.* Pay: $17.00 per hour Experience: * Museum docent: 1 year (Required) * Conducting tours : 1 year (Required) * Welcoming visitors : 1 year (Required) Location: * Plano, TX 75024 (Required) Work Location: In person
