We’re looking for a dedicated Custodian to join us on-site at our Lebanon, Oregon location to help maintain our workplace to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety (Relocation within 40 miles of Lebanon is required.)ResponsibilitiesAs a key member of our facilities team, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of cleaning and maintenance tasks, including:Daily Cleaning & UpkeepSweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and scrub floors and surfaces in offices, restrooms, common spaces, and select shop areasDamp wipe furnitureClean and restock restrooms, kitchenettes, and lunchroomsClean lunchroom and breakroom microwaves and refrigeratorsEmpty trash and recycling containersEnsure a clean and organized workspaceDeep Cleaning DutiesWash windows, screens, doors, doorframes, and wallsSteam clean carpets, as neededClean overhead fixturesMaintenance & SafetyPerform minor routine and preventative maintenance tasksNotify management of any major repair needsRequirementsMinimum QualificationsCustodial or janitorial experienceBasic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionEffective English communication skillsReliable and consistent attendance during scheduled shiftsStrong attention to detail and a solid work ethicCommitment to maintaining a clean and safe environmentAbility to work independently and take initiativeAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsTeam-oriented mindsetProfessional demeanor when interacting with coworkers, customers, and vendorsUnderstanding of cleaning chemicals and compounds, including how to read and follow safety directions and warningsSatisfactory results from a pre-employment fit-for-duty screen and drug screenSatisfactory results from a pre-employment background checkPreferred QualificationsExperience working in a manufacturing or industrial environmentExperience working in an environment with a large footprintExperience using floor care equipment (e.g., buffers, scrubbers, carpet cleaners)Familiarity with industrial or commercial cleaning practicesKnowledge of workplace safety standards (e.g., OSHA guidelines)Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)Working EnvironmentThe hours for this role are Monday-Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.RoleThis is an active role that involves being on one’s feet for most of the shift and moving between different buildings. To perform this job, you will need to be comfortable with:Walking, standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, reaching (below, at, and above shoulder level), balancing, and climbing ladders or step stoolsPushing, pulling, and handling materials and equipmentUsing hands and fingers for detailed tasksTalking, hearing, and using vision (near, far, peripheral, and depth perception)You Will Also Need ToRegularly lift/move up to 30 poundsFrequently lift/move up to 40 poundsOccasionally lift/move up to 50 poundsSome tasks may take place outdoors, so you will be exposed to different weather conditions. You will also be responsible for working around or handling biohazardous materials.
