The RoleSenior Forensic Mechanical Engineers evaluate distress to existing MEP systems, machinery, and/or equipment. This role oversees all aspects of investigative projects including coordinating with clients, performing site visits, managing resources, writing reports, conducting root cause analyses, reviewing building codes, and setting deadlines to ensure project deliverables are submitted in a professional and timely manner.The ideal candidate has an established client network and has a strong track record of building rapport and maintaining lasting client relationships.In This Role, You WillLead projects and serve as the primary point of contactCoordinate site visits, resources, and timelines to keep projects on trackConduct site visits and testing to gather data across property typesPerform site visits and lab examinations to collect data on residential, commercial, and industrial properties.Produce reports that combine inspection, testing, and analysis data to identify root cause and make recommendations on repair or replacement.Support regional growth through recruiting and business developmentBuild and maintain strong client relationships while generating new workPartner with business development on conferences and client outreachReview and interpret relevant building codes as necessary for issues about the scope of work.Oversee the development of repair or replacement design scope, as needed. Make independent decisions for projects including selection of analysis and testing methods and allocating resources relevant to the project.Perform additional duties as assigned. What You BringBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experienceActive PE license 10+ years of forensic mechanical engineering experience or relevant design experienceProven ability to write comprehensive technical reports on inspection resultsStrong organizational and time management skillsWillingness to travel up to 50%Who We AreYA Group is an international professional services organization providing forensic consulting, engineering, risk mitigation, and related services.
