Utilize SESI’s proven instructional models, strategies, and curriculum. Conduct frequent and appropriate assessments, use data to develop and implement instructional plans, and collaborate with school teams and families to drive outcomes.The IEP Coordinator will work closely with the Director and resource team to coordinate and evaluate the educational program. The Instructional Specialist will act as a mentor and resource to the classroom staff and work closely with all departments on implanting the educational programs. In conjunction with the school Director, this position will be a key player in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and overseeing the onboarding of new staff.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with classroom staff to coordinate, manage, assess needs and determine student assignment in regards to special education programs Assist Principal with recruiting, interviewing and on-boarding new campus staff membersDevelop and implement transition planning and services/Indicator 13 Maintain IEP database and student file scan databasePrepare and attend students’ IEP meetings, assure documentation is accurately completed prior to the meeting and provide on-going monitoring to ensure ISBE compliance of students’ IEPs Plan and implement staff and parent education relating to special education programs Maintains close working relationship with school district, parents and communityProvide and monitor crisis intervention at the schoolOrganize, plan and deliver training for professional development and staff meetingsActively participate in Education Committee meetings and relay information to the resource teamQualificationsCurrent SPED Teaching license (LBS1)Experience working with similar population in a school setting preferred Experience working with staff in a coaching capacityStrong professional communication skills both oral and written Ability to record and analyze data utilizing excel and google drivePosted Salary RangeStarting from USD $80,000.00/Yr.Physical RequirementsFullBloom is an equal opportunity employer.
