Known for leadership development, we aim to empower individuals to reach their full potential.Position OverviewThe Director of Customer Project Management & Execution will lead the Jenbacher Project Management Team for the full INNIO Jenbacher product portfolio, ranging from equipment-only deliveries to complex turnkey projects. This role has full end-to-end accountability for project execution, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in alignment with revenue and contribution margin targets. The Director will partner closely with global headquarters-based expert functions and regional cross-functional teams to build a strong, scalable, and sustainable project execution organization that supports INNIO’s growth in the U.S.This position is based onsite at our Houston, TX facilityResponsibilitiesLead the Jenbacher Project Management & Execution Team across all project scopes, from equipment deliveries to full turnkey solutionsOwn the full execution chain, including local Balance of Plant (BoP) Engineering, BoP Sourcing, Quality, Site Management, and packager fulfillmentDrive strategies to build and scale a successful and sustainable Project Management & Execution organization in a fast-growing region, in collaboration with HQ-based expert functionsEnsure effective knowledge transfer and training programs to establish efficient and standardized project execution processesMaintain full end-to-end accountability for project management and execution performance, including delivery of revenue and contribution margin targetsEnsure strong cross-functional coordination of technical and commercial project execution in collaboration with Sales, Execution Finance, Global Supply Chain & Operations, Technology, Sourcing, and Service teamsDrive risk mitigation actions and claim management activities; lead project reviews and present status updates and reports to INNIO managementLead and manage consortium partners, BoP sub-suppliers, and U.S.-based packagers for containerized powerhouse solutions, depending on deal structureFoster cost awareness across the organization to ensure project execution remains within approved budgetsOwn payment collection and claim management activities in close cooperation with FinanceLead revenue operating rhythm, cost planning, and headcount and resource planning in close partnership with FinanceFocus on customer alignment and simplification initiatives to ensure high-quality and efficient order executionPerform other related duties as assigned to support successful operations and business continuityRequirementsBachelor’s degree in engineering or a related fieldDemonstrated experience in the power generation industry, including execution of reciprocating engines or power plant projects, with responsibility for leading large‑scale, complex capital, or infrastructure projects from contract award through handoffProven leadership experience managing multi-level teams, cross-functional leaders, and multiple disciplinesExperience with full project financial ownership, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and margin accountabilityStrong experience with go-to-market business models involving direct and key account customersStrong experience interpreting and executing complex commercial contractsBroad application experience across Jenbacher market segmentsProven experience in risk contingency actions and execution process expertiseExperience leading organizational growth, transformation, or operational scale-up initiativesWillingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationallyValid driver’s license and valid passportMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorshipKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesStrong leadership capability with a demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing project and execution teamsIn-depth knowledge of project execution strategies and operations within the power generation, reciprocating engine, and energy equipment industryStrong technical aptitude combined with business acumen to support decision-making, contract execution, and achievement of P&L targets while ensuring compliance with contractual requirementsAbility to confidently lead complex discussions, drive decisions, and represent INNIO with credibility and professionalism in interactions with senior leaders and customersExcellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, time management and negotiation skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders, external partners, team members, and customersAbility to work independently while also functioning as part of a highly integrated, cross-functional teamDemonstrated ability to present, influence, and build alignment with senior leadership, executive stakeholders, and customersAbility to work in an office and project or field-based environments as requiredProlonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking as needed for meetings, site visits, and project reviewsVisual capability sufficient for reading documents, reviewing technical materials, and performing screen-based work
