Our reputation is built on quality workmanship, safety, and operational excellence.As we continue to expand our U.S. operations, we are seeking a Line Technician / Lineman to join our field construction team in a permanent, full‑time role.Join VC International and work alongside experienced telecom professionals supporting large‑scale network builds for major carriers and service providers across the United States.Position OverviewThe Line Technician is responsible for all aspects of outside plant (OSP) line construction, including the installation and repair of fiber optic, copper and coaxial cable networks, strand and pole transfers. This is a hands-on, physical role requiring strong technical skills, working at heights, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe, high‑quality work.This role requires regular rotational travel to project sites. Company‑paid lodging and daily per diem are provided while traveling.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDrive a company vehicle dispatched to various sites for new deployments and network troubleshootingOperate vehicle‑mounted aerial devices (bucket trucks) and other lineman equipmentWork off ladders and use climbing gearOperate cable lashing machines and related OSP toolsLoad, unload, and transport equipment and cable trailersPerform OSP line construction work involving coax, copper, and fiber optic cables, strand and pole transfersRead work plans/design drawings/blueprints / mapsAssist with testing and troubleshooting of telecom infrastructure, as requiredFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and site‑specific requirementsComplete associated safety documentation, inspections, and time reporting dailyKnowledge and SkillsStrong manual dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, and attention to detailAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditions and within confined or isolated environmentsPhysically capable of performing demanding construction work, including: Lift at least 60lbsClimbing ladders and working at heightsLifting and transporting heavy equipment (cable reels, lashers, tools, covers)Operate hand tools and work and general construction equipmentSelf‑motivated, organized, reliable, and team‑orientedAbility to work in a fast‑paced environment with repetitive tasks and project deadlinesMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to read blueprints/mapsProficient with Internet, Outlook, and able to learn mobile applicationsSafety-focused with adherence to safety procedures and requirementsAdditional RequirementsValid U.S. driver’s license with acceptable driving recordCDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred; or willingness to obtain CDL with required medical; air brake endorsement is an assetAvailability for rotational scheduling, overtime, or emergency callouts as requiredAbility to pass a background check and any site‑specific screening requirementsAuthorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorshipExperience Required1+ year of experience as an aerial Line Technician or in a telecommunications construction environment, working at heightsPrevious experience in outside plant (OSP) construction strongly preferredFiber, strand, coax, or copper network experience (FTTx / FTTH projects considered an asset)Lineman technical training or telecommunications certifications are considered assetCompensation And BenefitsHourly Pay – (40 to 50 hrs per week)Hourly Wage: $20.00 USD to $32.00 USDWeekly pay cyclePaid trainingDaily paid per diem for out-of-town rotationsCompany-paid and arranged travel and accommodationsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Group life insurance401(k) with Company MatchingEmployee referral bonus programOpportunity for AdvancementApply Now
