*Overview* We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our healthcare team in providing exceptional surgical support across a variety of medical disciplines. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting surgical teams during procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, infection control, and operational efficiency. Job Title: Surgical Tech Location: Chico, CA 95926 Schedule: 10-hr shifts, Varied shifts, varied days off, possibly weekends, no call Duration: 13 weeks Start date: ASAP (Tentative) Travel Pay rate: Gross weekly $2126 for 40 Hours Local Pay: $47/hr *Responsibilities* * Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing and arranging surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies according to aseptic techniques. * Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, suturing, and managing surgical tools efficiently. * Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures, including medical records and intraoperative data within electronic health record (EHR) systems. * Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention protocols and hospital policies to minimize healthcare-associated infections. * Monitor vital signs and patient condition during surgery, providing critical support for anesthesia teams and other healthcare professionals. * Assist with the treatment of fractures, trauma care, and orthopedic surgeries by handling specialized equipment and supporting procedural workflows. * Operate medical equipment safely and effectively, including endoscopy tools, cardiovascular surgery devices, and neurosurgical instruments. * Support preoperative preparation and postoperative recovery processes by ensuring proper patient positioning and equipment sterilization. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care in high-pressure environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or PICU settings. * Demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to assist effectively across diverse surgical specialties.
