Annuity Claim Specialist

The OpportunityThis is the next-level position which works under the direction of an immediate supervisor or higher-level examiner. Accountable for the collection and processing of annuity and income settlement claims. Determine benefits and prepare appropriate documents and/or supplementary contracts. Provide information to beneficiaries, policyholders, agents and other interested parties. Follow established procedures and guidelines.The TeamThe Annuity/Income Settlement Team is comprised of a Team Consultant, 10 Claim Examiners and a Policyholder Services Specialist who supports the holds, follow up and SSA processes. The team works collaboratively and supports one another in their daily work and has a relentless focus on our customers and advisors. The team takes pride in delivering on the ultimate promise that Mass Mutual has made to help people secure their futures and protect the ones they love.The Impact In this role you will service individuals who are the recipient of annuity or income settlement death claim proceeds. You will adjudicate the claim from the first notice of death to receiving requirements and paying the claim. This role requires communication with beneficiaries and advisors to provide information and guidance on the claim process.
