We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware / Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in high voltage systems, power electronics, and energy storage to help design cutting-edge hardware for the future of energy storage.Job Summary:As a Hardware / Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of hardware systems for high-power energy storage solutions. This includes working with high voltage and high-power electronics, developing systems that incorporate energy storage, solar power, and Battery Management Systems (BMS). You will be involved in the full system design process, ensuring our products meet industry standards for performance, safety, and reliability.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop hardware for high voltage and high-power energy storage systems, focusing on analogue power hardware design and system integration.Lead system design and architecture of energy storage systems, incorporating BMS, solar power, and other renewable energy technologies.Perform circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout for high-power systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including firmware, software, and mechanical engineers, to integrate hardware systems effectively.Conduct system-level testing, validation, and debugging, ensuring high-performance, reliability, and safety standards are met.Optimize power electronics and analogue hardware to improve system efficiency and scalability.Ensure designs comply with relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements for energy systems, including UL and CE certifications.Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware issues during development, prototyping, and manufacturing phases.Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams to transition designs into productionRequirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in hardware design, specifically with high voltage systems (over 800V), high power, and energy storage technologies.Experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS) and integration with energy storage systems.Strong knowledge of solar power systems and their integration with energy storage hardware.Proficiency in analogue power hardware design, including circuit design, PCB layout, and power electronics.Experience with system design and the full hardware development lifecycle from concept to production.Hands-on experience with hardware testing, troubleshooting, and validation at the system level.Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (UL, CE, etc.).Preferred Qualifications:Experience with high-power energy storage systems or renewable energy solutions.Familiarity with embedded systems and firmware design for power electronics.Knowledge of thermal management techniques for power systems.Experience with designing for manufacturability (DFM) and working with production teams.Benefits:Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401k).Opportunities for professional growth in a dynamic and innovative industry.Collaborative and flexible work environment.
