About the RoleReporting to the Controller, the Financial Analyst will support a broad range of accounting and finance functions within a mission-driven organization. This role will focus on budgeting, forecasting, and delivering strategic insights through financial reporting and analytics, while also assisting with month-end close, funding tracking, and investment-related activities.ResponsibilitiesData Analysis & ReportingExtract, organize, and analyze financial and operational data from the general ledger and internal systemsIdentify trends and provide actionable insights through reports, dashboards, and visualizations for leadershipFinancial Modeling & ForecastingDevelop recurring and ad hoc financial models and reportsForecast future performance and provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-makingAccounting & Close SupportProvide backup support for core accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payrollMaintain integrity of general ledger activity, ensuring accurate coding and classificationSupport multi-department or cost center accounting, including allocationsAssist with monthly close activities such as journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure strong internal controlsAudit & ComplianceContribute to year-end close, audit preparation, tax filings, and required regulatory reportingSupport financial documentation and compliance-related projectsBudgeting & Funding SupportPartner cross-functionally to develop and monitor budgetsTrack expenditures and prepare financial reports related to funding sources and program activityQualificationsEducation details not specifiedRequired SkillsStrong ability to analyze complex financial data, reports, budgeting processes, and key business driversEffective communication skills with both finance and non-finance stakeholdersPreferred SkillsAbility to build trust and credibility across all levels of the organizationProactive in identifying trends and opportunities for cost savings or operational improvementsStrong attention to confidentiality and handling of sensitive informationReliable attendance and consistent follow-through
