Breakfast Attendant/Front Desk Associate

Job TypeFull-time Description Position SummaryThe Breakfast Attendant / Front Desk Associate plays a dual role in supporting both the guest service and breakfast operations at our Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Jackson, TN. This position is responsible for delivering outstanding hospitality experiences by providing friendly front desk service and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming breakfast area. The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, guest-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hotel environment. Essential Job FunctionsFront Desk ResponsibilitiesGreet guests in a warm, professional, and friendly manner Check guests in and out efficiently while ensuring accuracy Answer phone calls, make reservations, and respond to guest inquiries Handle guest concerns and resolve issues professionally and promptly Process payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures Maintain knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and local attractions Complete shift reports and communicate important information during shift changes Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby areas Breakfast Attendant ResponsibilitiesPrepare, set up, and maintain the breakfast area before and during service hours Ensure food items are stocked, fresh, and presented according to brand standards Monitor breakfast inventory and communicate supply needs to management Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the breakfast area, kitchen space, and dining area Follow all food safety and health guidelines Greet guests during breakfast service and provide excellent customer service Break down and clean breakfast area after service concludes QualificationsPrevious hotel, customer service, or food service experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and adapt between departments as needed Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Basic computer skills required Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be able to work flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally Frequent bending, reaching, and light cleaning duties required Athena Hospitality Group ExpectationsDemonstrate professionalism and hospitality at all times Maintain a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Support hotel operations wherever needed to ensure an exceptional guest experience Uphold all company policies, procedures, and brand standards Athena Hospitality Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating a welcoming environment for both guests and team members.
