Job DetailsDescriptionConnor Co., a company rich in history, currently has an available Delivery Driver/Warehouse position in Lafayette, IN. We seek a career-minded person looking for a long-term career with a great company. Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing is preferred but not required.Candidates Must Be Available from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background checkPrincipal AccountabilitiesPrepares truck for operation by inspecting general condition, checking fluid levels and tire pressure, and notifying the Branch Manager before obtaining or scheduling required repairs.Maintains truck operating efficiency by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and scheduling repairs.Loads the delivery truck with the product securely-avoid damagesDelivers items by identifying destinations, establishing routes, operating the truck, unloading items, and maintaining the scheduleUses a cell phone to report on the progress of deliveriesPicks up returns items for the companyVerifies products delivered against the packing slip and has the customer sign the receiptServes customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaintsEnhances the organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requestsProcess inbound materials to the warehouse. Compares quantities shown on packing slips or manifests with actual items receivedEfficient and effective loading and unloading of trucksInspects items according to instructions and reports damaged goodsEnsures materials are placed in the designated area within the warehouseStacks skids or pallets in designated areas.
