Aerospace Simulation Engineer
Required Skills & Experience• 7+ years of engineering experience within the following (Master's Degree accounts for 2 years of experience): • Active Secret Clearance or higher with ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance • Ability to sit on-site at Hill AFB in Clearfield, UT 3 days a week • Experience within Model, Simulation, and Analysis specifically within the following: • 6-Degree of Freedom (6-DOF) • C, C++, Python, Fortran OR Ada programing languages • MATLAB and/or Simulink • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, or MathematicsNice to Have Skills & Experience• Active Top-Secret Clearance • NASTRAN • Fortan or Ada • Mechanical Engineering degree desired • Experience supporting a DoD or DoE program within Hypersonic Interceptors, Ballistic Missile Defense or ICBM programs • Any experience with AFOTEC or related organization of the DoDJob DescriptionInsight Global is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to join our team for an exciting opportunity to work on a unique government contract. The contract assists in acquisition and technical sustainment engineering and will augment government resources. This individual will join a highly-skilled and technical team with their modeling and simulation efforts to complete the below tasks: • Enhance and maintain high-fidelity flight simulation environments used for system-level analysis • Update and support complex six–degree-of-freedom (6-DOF) models for dynamic system behavior • Design, develop, and modify software tools to assess vehicle and system performance • Conduct Monte Carlo and off nominal analyses to investigate performance anomalies and risk scenarios • Perform mass properties and configuration assessments to support design changes and trade studies • Execute dynamics, structural, and performance analyses at the system and subsystem level • Maintain physics-based engineering models and perform associated statistical analyses • Prepare and deliver technical briefings, documentation, and analytical reports for government stakeholders
