Food Server

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a high-quality dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service, with experience in fine dining or fast-paced restaurant environments. You will be responsible for various tasks including food preparation, serving, and maintaining sanitation standards. Duties Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and ensuring their dining needs are met. Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and safety standards. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and payment transactions. Assist with upselling menu items to enhance guest experiences and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including dining rooms, kitchens, and food preparation areas. Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling policies. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders. Buss tables efficiently to maintain a clean dining environment for guests. Support host/host duties as needed, welcoming guests and managing seating arrangements. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred. Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is a plus; familiarity with food handling and safety regulations is essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests. Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing. Experience with guest relations and providing exceptional guest services is highly desirable. Knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety standards is required. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when necessary.
