Our AI reads it. Then the hard part starts: every line has to validate against the customer's live ERP — systems like Prophet 21, Epicor Eclipse, and WhereFour, where the documentation is wrong, the API is an afterthought, and the on-hand quantity field doesn't mean what it says when there are 47 pending orders against it. Then we submit the order back into that ERP correctly, and a real person gets an hour of their day back.An order-entry veteran at our first customer, a week in: "It used to take sometimes an hour to put in a large order — now I can put it in the Ordermatic system in about 5–6 minutes."That's the mission — turn busy work into better work — and it's running in production for companies you can drive to: distributors and manufacturers across food & beverage, industrial, and signage, with our first customer alone processing over $1M in orders. You'll work directly with the technical founder and own product outcomes end to end: take a fuzzy problem from a customer call, decide what to build, ship it, and watch a real order flow through it — often the same week. You'll make architectural decisions in your projects — seek input, then decide, and own the outcome either way. We collaborate on cross-cutting platform bets.Full-stack here is not a euphemism for "frontend dev who can write an API route." The job spans three surfaces, and you'll work all three:The webapp — the order-review flow where customer teams check AI-extracted POs: line-item matching against ERP catalogs, pricing and discount review, shipping suggestions.ERP integrations — read-side data sync and flag-gated order submission against the major distribution and manufacturing ERPs (Prophet 21, Epicor Eclipse, WhereFour, with more in progress). Reverse-engineering enterprise systems that haven't been touched since 2009.The data layer — pipelines that land customer ERP data in our lakehouse and feed the knowledge layer that powers everything else.Real examples from our last month: an org-onboarding wizard in the admin portal, a 10x speedup on an ERP sync, real order-update support for a customer's ERP, and a pipeline-health monitor that fails loudly rather than silently.Production fires are rare but real. When a customer's order pipeline breaks on a Wednesday afternoon, you'll read the workflow histories and pipeline logs and ship the fix. If that energy excites you, we should talk. If it sounds miserable, we shouldn't.Who thrives hereYou've reverse-engineered a poorly documented enterprise system and can tell the story — the moment you figured out what a field actually meant when the docs were wrong.You've owned production systems that ran unattended for months, and debugged them when they didn't.You're strong in SQL and TypeScript, and comfortable in Python.You measure your week in customer orders processed, not tickets closed.You ask good questions. It's the strongest predictor of who succeeds here, and we screen for it.Don't apply if you want a finished spec before you start, a single lane (frontend-only, backend-only), a buffer between you and the customer, or a remote role. And don't lead with years of experience — we don't count years, we count systems you've owned.StackTypeScript and Python across the board, in a single monorepo. A modern TypeScript web layer (Astro, React, Tailwind), durable workflow orchestration, a lakehouse-style data pipeline, and hybrid search for product matching. LLMs from multiple providers in production. Cloud-hosted infrastructure managed as code, with feature flags on everything that writes to a customer ERP. We ship with Claude Code daily — AI-heavy development isn't an experiment here; it's how a small team covers this much surface.Adjacent stacks transfer fine — you'll inherit a working codebase, not a blank repo. Day 1, you read the strategy doc.
