Job DescriptionDistribution Project ManagerPosition location is flexible and may office from any DC/HUB in the USAFull-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pmOverviewWorking as Full-time Distribution Project Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the execution of specific distribution center projects selected by Fastenal Management.ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Assisting with project development and designCoordinating on-site activities and tasks related to the projectIdentifying and resolving project implementation issuesAdhering to a budget and scheduleCommunicating critical information between Fastenal management, Distribution Center staff and project partnersRequired Position QualificationsThe following skills and qualifications are required for this position:Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as neededPossess relevant industry work experienceExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficient using Microsoft Office SuiteHighly motivated, self directed and customer service orientedDemonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilitiesExhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skillsLearn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environmentWork independently as well as in a team environmentWillingness to travel frequentlyDemonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamworkPass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)Preferred Position QualificationsPossess Project Management Professional (PMP) or any industry recognized Project Management certificationProficient using AutoCADPossess CADD CertificationRead and interpret blueprintsPrior construction and/or mechanical work experienceAbout UsSince 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
