Applicants must be authorized to access export-controlled information under U.S. law.About The OpportunityAtlas Fibre is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician / CMM Operator to join our 2nd shift team. We specialize in high-performance composites for the Aerospace, Aviation, and Automotive industries, where precision is non-negotiable.In this role, you will be responsible for the high-level inspection of precision-engineered parts using our state-of-the-art Zeiss CMM hardware. You will be the frontline of quality, ensuring every part that moves through our 2nd shift production line meets strict customer specifications.What You'll Do:CMM Operation: Execute existing inspection routines on Zeiss CMM equipment using Calypso software.Part Setup: Set up and fixture complex composite components on the CMM table for automated measurement.Manual Inspection: Perform traditional "hand tool" inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges to verify part quality.Blueprint Reading: Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to determine part compliance.Data Technical Reporting: Review CMM measurement data, generate pass/fail reports, and clearly communicate findings to the production team.Calibration & Care: Perform probe qualifications and ensure all measurement equipment is clean and functioning correctly.Shift Hand-off: Document quality trends and provide detailed shift notes to ensure a smooth transition between production teams.What You BringRequired Qualifications:Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality or inspection environment.Precision Skills: Proven ability to use manual measurement tools (calipers, mics, etc.) with high accuracy.Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings.Reliability: Ability to work the 2nd shift schedule independently and with high attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications:Equipment Knowledge: Previous experience operating Zeiss CMMs or navigating Calypso software interfaces.Industry Background: Experience in a machine shop, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing environment.GD&T Knowledge: A solid understanding of geometric symbols and tolerances.Why Join Atlas Fibre?Competitive Pay: $20.00 – $30.00/hour (includes shift differential).Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, and company-paid life insurance.Retirement: 401(k) plan with company matching contributions.Environment: Work in a clean, climate-controlled, state-of-the-art facility.Career Path: Opportunities for advancement into lead roles or specialized quality tracks.Work Environment This role operates in a modern, climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
