Backup Solutions: Architect and set up infrastructure to manage comprehensive device backups.Hardware Lifecycle: Evaluate and standardize "Next-Gen" hardware (GPUs, VR/AR, specialized sensors) to ensure compatibility with lab instrumentation.Virtualization & Remote Access: Architect VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) or DaaS solutions for researchers needing high-compute power remotely.Monitoring & Healing: Deploy Nexthink solutions for proactive monitoring and automated healing of the device environment.Collaboration: Act as the technical liaison between the Research R&D teams and the broader Corporate IT/Security departments.Device Integration & Directory ServicesActive Directory: Design and set up the Active Directory structure and security groupsPolicy Management: Configure Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and manage generic accounts for lab device access.Vendor & Project OversightVendor Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, facilitating high-level communication and resolving complex issues.Performance Evaluation: Monitor vendor performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contractual obligations.Project Planning: Define project scopes, resource allocations, and timelines for major device-related initiatives.
