Provides for psychosocial needs of patients. Directs and monitors activities of personnel who deliver patient care.DutiesPerform routine procedures in accordance with established protocol.Demonstrates an awareness of radiation safety procedures for self and others. Wears protective clothing, glasses, and remains behind protective enclosure during x-ray exposure.Monitors procedures with skill in using specialized equipment as assigned in accordance with established protocols.Demonstrates the ability to perform in an accurate and timely manner during critical or emergency situations.Performs body system assessment accurately and promptly.Recognizes and provides ongoing assessment of and change in patient condition; Develops an individual plan of care and prioritizes routine and emergency care based on the ongoing assessment of the patient.Monitors and recognizes abnormal test results.Assesses patient/family educational needs and expectations of hospitalization.Provides accurate information for continuity of care, through the shift report.Administers medications, including emergency medications observing the 5 Rights of Medication Administration.Reports abnormal assessment findings promptly.Implements the interventions from the plan of care.Documents system assessment, nursing interventions, and patient response accurately and appropriately each shift.Documents medication administration promptly and accurately.Documents all pertinent variances from the plan of care.Documents appropriately for transfer of patient care inter and intra agency. (Including the current COBRA/EMTALA guidelines.)Demonstrates skills needed to monitor patient’s hemodynamics, recognizing changes, and implementing appropriate interventions that meet our standards of patient care.Ability to recognize EKG tracing changes in-patient and responds according to protocol.Demonstrates ability to function as a Scrub Tech during Cardiac Cath procedures, observes sterile field guidelines, practices aseptic techniques, and strictly obeys isolation and infection control policies.Remove catheters and sheaths from patients and monitors homeostasis according to established protocols. Understands the procedures of the observation area.Demonstrates ability to assist in the documentation of Quality Control and Preventive Maintenance. Completes documentation required by Cardiac Cath Lab, hospital, state, and federal requirements. Monitors and documents supplies on the crash cart.Assists in the transportation of patients and ensures the patient is properly covered and continues assessment.Handles telephone information requests with courtesy, accuracy, and respect for confidentiality.Maintains confidentiality and privacy of all data, records, forms, reports and procedures and any other information regarding customer relations of ARMC 100% of the time.Delivers direct patient care appropriate to the ages of the patients served.Ensures that all patient charges are properly recorded and sent to the appropriate location.Monitors and documents supplies on crash cart.Responsible for supply utilization and ongoing maintenance. Assists in the inventory stocking and updating throughout the department.Cleans and restocks room after each procedure.Will perform a sponge count with the scrub tech prior to and at the end of each procedure in accordance to the hospital policy.On-Call: Reports within 30 minutes for a call in.
