Inventory Control Analyst
The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of U.S. manufacturing plant and distribution center inventories, including fixed assets. This role is ideal for a detail oriented, analytical professional who enjoys working with inventory data and continuous process improvement in a fast-paced environment.RESPONSIBILITIES Daily review of finished goods inventory transactionsMonthly/quarterly batch materials physical inventory Coordinate the annual physical inventory of plant fixed assets and provide corporate accounting with all necessary inventory reportingReport all fixed asset transactions to include transfers and dispositions; apply property tag identifications to newly acquired assetsMaintain records retention inventory and dispose of records as appropriateResponsible for identifying the root cause of all inventory adjustmentsMaintain inventory balances plus journal activity for refractory and precious metal inventoriesMonthly closing responsibilities including journal entries and account reconciliationsStandard costing of new items and subcontractor work ordersMonthly calculation of cycle count accuracyResponsible for identifying and implementing process improvements as required.Assist in completing our annual audit with a focus on cycle counts and inventory related testsOther job duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent required Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business or supply chain preferred; or equivalent experienceOne to three years’ experience in accounting, supply chain or a related field Strong foundation with Microsoft Office Products (primarily Excel); ability to learn/manipulate systems quicklyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentPreferred knowledge of JD Edwards or similar ERP experiencePerform well under pressure, manage multiple assignments and able to prioritize tasksTravel on occasion, less than 10% annuallyCOMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS Take Control: ask for the direction and support you need to attain mastery of your objectives and ownership of your professional development.Be Engaged & Committed: lean in to learn, engage, and contribute, resulting in increased performance and personal satisfaction from your work.
