You'll work closely with physicians, nurses, and imaging staff to ensure accurate imaging, seamless workflow, and outstanding care.Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & SafetyVerify patient identity and imaging orders to ensure accuracy and safetyConfirm pregnancy status and evaluate patients for potential contrast media allergies or adverse reactionsReview lab values and educate patients on potential risks, effect/side effects and benefits of contrast media and radiation exposurePosition patients respectfully and comfortably with care and precision to achieve optimal imaging results and ensure the correct anatomical area is scannedMonitor patient comfort and respond to concerns with professionalism and empathyCT Imaging & Contrast AdministrationPerform high-quality CT imaging procedures following established protocolsAdminister IV and oral contrast media safely and effectivelyStart IV lines and monitor patients for adverse reactionsPrepare and operate CT equipment, select appropriate exposure factos while following ALARA radiation safety principlesEnsure images meet quality standards and are transferred promptly to PACSPerform procedural timeouts and use sterile/aseptic techniques as requiredCollaboration & WorkflowPartner with radiologists, nursing teams, the Emergency Department, scheduling and other departments to provide seamless patient careGuide patients through procedures with clear communication while addressing questions and concerns with compassion and professionalism.Support efficient scheduling and accommodate urgent or add-on exams when neededFoster positive, professional relationships with patients, physicians, and fellow technologists through respectful and collaborative communication.Quality & Continuous ImprovementParticipate in QA and Continuous Quality Improvement initiativesAssist with developing, updating and improving imaging protocolsSupport accreditation processes, department projects, and inventory managementCommunicate equipment concerns proactively to leadership and service vendorsTeam Support & Professional GrowthAssist in orienting and mentoring new team membersContribute to a positive, team-oriented department culturePartner with lead technologists to promote ongoing education, skill enhancement, and professional development within the team.Maintain compliance with all applicable State of Montana, DNV, CMS, ARRT, and ASRT regulations and standards.What We're Looking ForQualificationsGraduate of an accredited School of Radiologic TechnologyMinimum of 1 year of CT experience OR successful completion of a CT cross-training programEligible for registration with ARRT in CT certification within 12 months of hireCurrent Montana Radiologic Technologist permitCurrent BLS certificationIdeal CandidateStrong patient care and communication skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environmentDetail-oriented with a commitment to imaging excellenceTeam-focused mindset with a positive, professional attitudePassion for delivering compassionate, high-quality care Schedule: Day Shift | Every 4th WeekendJoin a healthcare organization where your expertise is valued, your growth is supported, and your work truly makes a difference in the lives of patients and the community.
