Let's get to the next level!This is a second shift position, Noon-9:00PM, Monday-Friday.ResponsibilitiesPerform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standardsDiagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints/inspection and examine to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommendedTroubleshoot and repair of suspension, driveline, steering components, brake system - air and hydraulic, engine repair, and electricalInstall injectors, pistons, liners, camshafts, cylinder heads, rod and main bearings, oil pans, clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, brakes, change or recharge batteries, and replace transmissions and other partsDocument all work performed and recommended repair ordersConduct road test to ensure vehicle as neededAdherence to all company and industry safety standardsAbility to organize the work presented and plan for the highest efficiency and productivity in the performance of all job functionsContinual training and development in support of individual career and company goalsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent; Vocational or technical certification on vehicle repairs5+ years of experience working with diesel engines and heavy-duty trucksTraining and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certificationsAbility to work with diagnostics computer for troubleshooting and repairsMust have your own toolset to perform assigned responsibilitiesAbility to obtain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving recordWhat You Can Expect as an Experienced Diesel TechnicianAs an experienced diesel technician, you will work independently, performing both major and minor repairs. Diagnosing all-makes commercial trucks and buses and completing maintenance work consistent with Lakeside best practices and industry standards. As an expert, you are considered a lead technician and may serve as a mentor for developing diesel technicians at the dealership.TrainingWe train for a lifetime.
