Receives direction on moderately complex assignments, tasks, and execution. Work is frequently reviewed by more senior staff to ensure application of sound techniques and principles.At the Operational and Company LevelLiaise with project managers concerning pertinent findings of inspections.Do the WorkPerform inspections for transportation construction projects to ensure they are completed in accordance with plans, specifications and in compliance with codes and regulations.Document project assignments accurately.Prepare inspection and contractor performance reports as needed for project records.Maintain project documents and files.Perform other duties assigned.Success Metrics and CompetenciesAbility to work both independently and within a team environment.Highly motivated and problem-solving attitude.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.Commitment to driving profitability and growth.Ability to effectively manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.Minimum of one (1) year of DOT experience as a Technical Assistant 2 (TA-2) or higher; or two (2) years minimum of transportation, highway, or bridge construction inspection experience; or four (4) years minimum of highway or bridge construction, non-highway or bridge inspection, or highway or bridge design experience.NICET certification a plus.DOT Concrete Field Testing Technician Certification a plus.NECEPT Bituminous Field Certification a plus.Valid state driver's license and ability to successfully pass a motor vehicle check or reliable form of transportation to/from the office and/or project site strongly preferred.Metasys Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
