Principal Electrical Component Engineer

Job Description: Understand program requirements and Statements of Work (SOWs) to determine program component environmental / characteristic application requirements.Provide technology insertion and parts selection/standardization guidance while adhering to business, component parametric, application environmental and circuit application constraints.Generate and revise component drawings and associated verification data packages.Review of electronic component and assembly reliability and construction data, and preparation of such data as to facilitate Part and Material Control Board review and adjudication.Perform alternate part investigations and generate comparison matrices showing the differences and similarities of the parts.Interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers/manufacturers to develop component risk and verification delineation.Facilitate component selection and libraries application through the coordination and generation of the program Bill of Material (BOM) in a collaboration toolset.Present component standardization, design library, obsolescence management and termination finish risk results in support of design reviews for a program.Requirements: Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience with any combination of the following:Experience with integrated circuits, semiconductors, and passive devices.Knowledge of component selection, screening, qualification, and derating for use in military and aerospace flight applications.Knowledge of Component MIL drawings, standards, test specifications, and associated QPLs and QMLs.Experience with BOM (Bill of Material) development and management for developmental and production programs.Benefits: medicaldentalvisionlife insuranceshort-term disabilitylong-term disability401(k) matchflexible spending accountsflexible work schedulesemployee assistance programEmployee Scholar Programparental leavepaid time offholidays
