Tax Analyst or Tax Associate - Guggenheim Partners

Job Description:Guggenheim Partners is seeking a junior tax professional to join its corporate tax team. The position will be responsible for all aspects of federal tax compliance for the Company's operating partnerships, c-corporations, and holding company. The position will also include responsibilities around tax planning and assisting with the execution of the Company's long-term tax strategies.The Tax Analyst/Associate will report to a Tax Manager and will be based in the Chicago office; currently this position is fully remote.Essential Job FunctionsPreparation of federal tax return compliance requirements for the firm's partnership and corporate entitiesPreparation of quarterly taxable income estimatesMaintain standardized work paper and tax return organizational systemManage 3rd party service provider timing and review of their work productWork on special projects related to complex research issuesRemain current on legislative development and tax planning opportunitiesPrepare and maintain documentation for Tax Department compliance related processesPreferred QualificationsCertified Public AccountantCompletion of a Master's Degree in TaxationAsset management/financial services client experienceASC 740 experienceInformation Reporting experienceStrong organization, time management and attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaborativelyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBasic QualificationsCompletion of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and;Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting, including partnership tax complianceProficient in ExcelSalary* Annual base salary between $130,000 to $140,000.The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience.
