Client in Lucas area needs a caregiver

Comfort Keepers is looking for a few caregivers to join our team and work in the 75002 area. The skilled caregivers are responsible for the physical care and emotional support of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to illness, injury, surgery, or disability.The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect. This person enjoys doing housework, will encourage and remain empathetic to the clients at all times. This client has a cat.Responsibilities:Home assistance – Provide light housekeeping, run errands or provide transportation if needed. Accompany clients to appointments and assist with medications. Prepare meals, purchase food and provide personal assistance with general living needs. Personal services could include toileting, bathing, feeding and grooming. Provide any financial aid if needed such as balancing checkbooks, going to the bank or helping the client to pay their bills.Companionship – Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging and assisting an individual.Requirements:High school diploma preferredMust have two years verifiable caregiving experienceMust have experience dealing with clients needing dementia careMust be able to successfully pass a Criminal Background reportAbility to lift up to 25 pounds at a timeAbility to reach, bend, kneel and stand for (sometimes) a long period of timeValid state driver's licenseDependable vehicle and current car insurance with you listed as driver or ownerWilling to drive at least 30 minutes to workJob Benefits:Competitive pay - $15 to $18 hourMonday - Friday 4p-10pWork near your homeOngoing paid trainingSupportive and rewarding work environmentGrowing company with opportunity for developmentCompassionate, supportive office staffPaid time off (PTO)Powered by JazzHR
