This role partners with application, infrastructure, cloud, and network teams to design secure, scalable, and resilient storage solutions that support critical business services. The ideal candidate is forward‑thinking, vendor‑savvy, and automation‑focused, helping drive innovation while ensuring operational excellence and data protection.What you’ll doProvide architectural leadership for block, file, object, SAN, NAS, and backup storage solutions across data center and cloud environmentsCollaborate with application owners, business leaders, and infrastructure architects to design storage solutions aligned with business and technical needsParticipate in planning sessions and architecture reviews, offering consultative expertise across multiple organizationsDesign and implement storage platforms optimized for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiencyArchitect and support data protection solutions, including encryption, immutability, backup, and disaster recoveryManage relationships with storage vendors, including evaluation, procurement, and delivery supportDrive automation initiatives enabling self‑service and self‑healing storage platformsMentor junior‑level architects and engineers while promoting architectural standards and best practicesExperience you’ll need to haveBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience10+ years of hands‑on experience with enterprise storage technologiesExperience with block, NAS, SAN, object storage, and enterprise backup solutionsProven ability to design tiered storage architectures supporting performance, scalability, and resilienceExperience delivering solutions across multi‑site and geographically distributed environmentsDemonstrated automation skills with ability to articulate design approachesStrong verbal, written, and technical communication skillsAbility to prioritize and execute effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environmentExperience that would be great to haveHands‑on experience with Pure, Dell, Infinidat, and NetApp storage platformsExperience with enterprise backup technologies such as Rubrik or equivalent solutionsExperience developing and validating disaster recovery strategiesFamiliarity with regulated environments including PCI, SOX, or similar frameworksExperience mentoring engineers or architects in large enterprise environmentsHow you’ll workFiserv emphasizes in‑person collaboration to help you grow your career while shaping the future of fintech; this role is on‑site Monday through FridayThis role may require flexibility to support planning activities across multiple time zonesThis role requires use of a computer and audio equipmentImportant info about this roleAll offers of employment are contingent on standard background checks.
