Junior Procurement Specialist

Position: Junior Procurement Specialist Company: Auro Hotels Location: Greenville, SC Reports To: Director of Procurement Job Overview: Auro Hotels is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Procurement Specialist to join our procurement team. This role is critical in ensuring efficient coordination of purchasing activities, tracking project deliveries, and managing supplier relationships. You will work closely with General Contractors (GCs), suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project timelines are met. This temporary position is ideal for individuals looking to grow their procurement and supply chain skills in the hospitality industry. Key Responsibilities: Track purchase orders (POs) and monitor warehousing and delivery schedules. Coordinate with General Contractors (GCs) to ensure timely delivery and resolve scheduling conflicts. Address supplier issues, such as extended lead times or delayed deliveries. Provide daily updates on project trackers to ensure alignment with project goals. Collaborate with the procurement team to monitor supplier performance and ensure on-time deliveries. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to facilitate smooth operations. Support procurement and finance teams in managing purchasing activities. Utilize SpendMap (or other software) to maintain accurate records and track purchase orders. Skills & Qualifications: Strong relationship management and communication skills. Excellent time management with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strategic thinker, able to adapt quickly to changing conditions. Ability to analyze pricing proposals and negotiate effectively with suppliers. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of SpendMap and Intact software is a plus. Ability to collaborate across departments and work on cross-functional teams. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Preferred Experience: Experience in procurement, supply chain, or a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of warehousing, logistics, and supplier management.
