Asset Management Specialist - Mid Level
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Asset Management Specialist Mid to support lifecycle management of IT assets across the enterprise. In this role, you will be responsible for tracking, auditing, controlling, and reporting on hardware and software assets to ensure compliance, accuracy, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with IT, procurement, cybersecurity, and leadership teams to maintain visibility and accountability of all assets.
This is for a 90 day contract from Monday, 3/6/2026 thru Friday, 7/17/2026 but may lead to further opportunities.
Duties
Manage the tracking and control of IT service assets within the enterprise infrastructure environment.
Support and execute Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM) processes, including Configuration Item (CI) registration, access controls, and governance procedures.
Collaborate with Configuration Analysts and the SACM Manager to define roles, responsibilities, and naming conventions for configuration items.
Tag, track, and maintain visibility of all IT assets, ensuring accurate documentation of asset ownership and physical location.
Receive, distribute, and coordinate setup or teardown of IT assets in accordance with lifecycle management procedures.
Maintain accurate records within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) / Configuration Management System (CMS).
Conduct physical and system-based configuration audits to validate inventory accuracy and initiate corrective action through established Change Control processes.
Assist in establishing system baselines and supporting promotion and release management activities.
Maintain status accounting records and provide reporting support to the SACM Manager.
Manage and reconcile databases tracking software licenses, warranties, and service agreements.
Utilize Department of Defense asset management systems such as Remedy, DPAS, or GCSS-MC to support compliance and accountability.
Requirements
Minimum 4–6 years of experience in IT asset management or related field.
Experience using asset management or IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar).
Strong understanding of IT hardware, software licensing, and lifecycle management processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Must meet applicable DoD requirements.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
