As a key contributor you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market.The ideal candidate possesses an innovative and problem-solving mindset, has a keen eye for software design and development, and is diligent and passionate about technology. A successful candidate will need to employ strong knowledge in computer technologies, leadership skills in technical areas, and SW engineering expertise. Additionally, a strong knowledge in datacenter scale hardware and commodities such as CPUs, GPUs, DPUs, and network switches will help the candidate succeed.Key responsibilities include:Develop and drive execution of comprehensive, highly effective software for sophisticated new technology and new product introduction projectsValidate new SW features before releasing them to customersWork directly with our customers to support and enable the manufacturing processContribute to a high-functioning feature teamCollaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support themHelp contribute to the design and implementation of future architecture for a highly scalable, durable, and innovative systemWork very closely with dev teams and Project Managers to drive resultsUp to 25% travelPreferred experience includes:Experience developing production-ready code in languages such as Python, C, Rust, C++, C#, Java, Javascript, Shell/Bash, or Powershell.Solid experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Containerd, and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes or SlurmDeep understanding of Linux and Windows operating systemsHands-on work with system board interfaces (i.e. I2C, PCIE, IPMI, and Redfish hardware interfaces), and networked communication protocols (i.e. TCP/IP, UDP)Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices.Previous experience in the hyperscale compute architecture space is not a requirement, but a significant plusFamiliarity with manufacturing processes and technologies is a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.Academic credentials:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical disciplineThis role is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.
