Donations Lead San PabloPosition at Hope's Closet ThriftMinistry /Department : Hope's Closet San PabloReports to: Assistance Manager of DonationsStatus: Full-time/Non-exemptSupervisory Role: Yes Donation Associates and Serve StaffObjectiveTo support and lead daily donations operations while providing excellent customer service and keeping focus on The Church of Eleven22 and Hope's Closet vision of being a movement for all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ.Key ResponsibilitiesMinister of the gospelDrive sales by executing daily operations of inventory and providing excellent customer service to our donors and customersMaintain organization in donations operation processing area, donation door, warehouse side and stockroomAssist in training, coordination and supervision of donations staff and serve staff in donations operations, serving and ministry opportunitiesLead the team in the absence of the assistant managerzoning staff, following up on daily duties, processing and replenishmentHelp create an inspiring team environment through setting and celebrating team goals, promoting open communication and demonstrating a proactive work cultureDiscover training opportunities and collaborate with donations managers to provide coaching for team membersMust be able to lift a minimum of 50 poundsCompetenciesModel Hope's Closet mission, vision and core valuesAbility to maintain strict confidentialityAbility to adapt to changeStrong proactive communication skillsPossess strong organizational, planning and problem-solving skillsTeam communicationAbility to work in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to be forklift certified (in-house certification available)Education and ExperienceCompletion of a high school diploma requiredTwo-three years of relevant work experience, including retail or warehouse experienceTwo-three years of management experience preferredPosition Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a fulltime position. Days may vary by week due to the needs of the store and events. Weekend and holiday hours are a must.The church has several big events, ("All-Skates") throughout the year to help further the mission of The Church of Eleven22 and Hope's Closet. We encourage the team to participate and serve at these events. The stores are closed during these events to ensure The Hope's Closet team has the opportunity to participate in the spiritual formation of the church.Our entire staff family is called to action, so that we can continue to be a movement for all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional retail environment which includes both sales floor and warehouse/stockrooms.
