Girls Head Softball Coach

Title: Girls Softball CoachQualifications:Standard Arkansas Teaching License and Coaching Endorsement, NFSH Certification, or ALPKnowledge and background in assigned sportAbility to work under the direction of the Head CoachCommercial Drivers License preferred.Reports to: Head Coach, Head Varsity Coach, Athletic DirectorSupervises: Athletes and team assigned.Job Goal:To carry out the aims and objectives of the sport as outlined by the Head Varsity Coach.To provide instruction that when applied will lead to the formation of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, and self-confidence.Essential Job Duties:(1) Perform the duties that are assigned by the Athletic Director and Head Coach of the sport they coach.(2) Display loyalty to the Head Coach, the Athletic Director, the school, and the athletic program.(3) Be familiar with the overall philosophy of the school district and the athletic program and strive at all times to meet those goals. They will follow the policies of the athletic department.(4) Keep the health and welfare of the student-athletes in mind at all times.(5) Exercise concern in the care and condition of the athletic equipment.(6) Make every effort to increase their knowledge of the sports they coach by attending clinics, meetings, and studying that sport.(7) Strive to be the best classroom teacher they can be and have a good relationship with students, faculty, and staff.(8) Be prompt and courteous at all times, and teach the same traits to the athletes.(9) Perform all duties that the Athletic Director or Head Coach might require of them.
