Interim Controller

Andrews & Cole is partnering with an established provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with autism serving families in the DC Metro area.Our client is hiring an interim Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting, partner with executive leadership, and manage key external service providers across accounting, revenue cycle, and payroll.Responsibilities:Own month-end close cycle, including oversight of outsourced accounting and validation of financialsManage accounts receivable and revenue cycle finance (aging, collections validation, adjustments, denials reconciliation)Oversee treasury and banking (cash forecasting, banking relationships, covenant compliance)Supervise accounts payable workflows and vendor managementPartner on payroll accounting and reconciliationMaintain internal controls and financial processesPrepare financial reporting, including P&L reviews, variance analysis, and board materialsManage external partners (accounting, tax, revenue cycle, audit, lenders)Qualifications:Active CPA8+ years of progressive accounting experience3+ years as Controller or Assistant ControllerHealthcare, behavioral health, or multi-site services experience preferredExperience managing month-end close in-houseExperience overseeing outsourced accounting providersStrong AR/revenue cycle experience in payor-billed environmentsERP experience (Sage Intacct preferred; NetSuite, Workday, or Microsoft Dynamics acceptable)Multi-entity, multi-state accounting experience
