Education + Committee Support CoordinatorOur client, part of a large association, is seeking and Education + Committee Support CoordinatorThis storefront location presents DC architecture to the profession and the community. Through exhibitions, lectures, and professional programming, it is a place to educate and celebrate. It includes two exhibition galleries, and fully-equipped, state-of-the-art meeting rooms, classrooms, and conference facilities are available for use by its members and the public.This role supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of continuing education programming, with a primary focus on CEU administration and education initiatives. The position assists with CEU submissions, documentation, tracking, and compliance, while working closely with education committees and subject matter experts to develop, review, and maintain high-quality educational content. Responsibilities include coordinating and staffing programs, supporting committee meetings, and serving as a liaison between internal teams, volunteers, and external partners to ensure educational programs align with the association's standards and learning objectives.Primary duties include:EducationManage workflow of events including scheduling, staffing, and logistics for online and in-person events.Create and track registration portals for events through Cvent (CRM).Track and report CEUs for attendees adult education programming.Generate and send post-event surveys .Support Corporate Affiliates via Lunchtime Learning online seminars.Work directly with the marketing team to ensure timely promotion of our events.Education Committee SupportRegularly and proactively communicate with Committee Chairs to coordinate and staff in-person education events and schedule monthly committee meetings.Track and collect annual committee plans and disseminate to the Board of Directors for review.Organize and staff monthly online all-chair Committee office hours.Coordinate Committee participation at our Annual Meeting.Work with the Director of Operations to track and send quarterly financial reports to each committee.Education RequirementsBachelor's degree in Education, Nonprofit Management, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Communications, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Knowledge of nonprofit education program delivery , curriculum support, and community engagement principles.Understanding of adult and youth learning theories and education program evaluation methods .Technical SkillsDatabase management: Proficiency with databases for tracking participants, outcomes, and reporting. Familiarity with Cvent and Ticket Tailor are preferred.Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email/calendar systems, and virtual meeting platforms.Communication and Interpersonal SkillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated experience in customer service and relationship management; ability to respond professionally and empathetically to inquiries.Capacity to present information effectively in meetings and event planning sessions.Program Coordination and Organizational SkillsStrong project and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and shifting priorities.Attention to detail in program logistics, documentation, and compliance with organizational policies.Personal Abilities / Professional TraitsCollaborative team player with the ability to build positive working relationships internally and externally.Problem-solving mindset ; comfortable identifying challenges and proposing solutions.High level of cultural competence and ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.Dependable and flexible , with a strong work ethic and initiative.Work Schedule and AvailabilityWillingness and ability to work evenings and occasional weekends as program needs require.Reliable and punctual attendance for scheduled events and meetings.Customer Service / Community EngagementProven experience delivering high-quality customer service in person, on the phone, and via email.Ability to engage community members, volunteers, partners, and stakeholders in a positive, inclusive manner.Preferred / Additional QualificationsExperience working in a nonprofit, educational, or youth-focused organization .Familiarity with social media or outreach tools for promoting programs and events.Training or experience in equity-centered facilitation and inclusive practices.If you find this ad interesting, apply today!
