Strategic Planner

Department: OSC Edge - Above Baseline Systems Maintenance SupportAs the Strategic Planner, the individual will provide project development and solution scoping. In this role, the Strategic Planner will provide creative solutions by staying up to date on emerging technologies to be applied. In addition, the individual will manage across the various points in product lifecycle utilizing effective project and business management skills. Also, the Strategic Planner is responsible for driving the execution of multiple business plans and initiatives across the team and cross-functional workgroupsResponsibilitiesProvides strategic planning of large projects or a significant segment of a strategic planning portion of a large, complex projectProvides the overall approach to clarify mission statements so they can be used as springboards in envisioning their desired futureAssists in developing mission and vision statements and subsequent goal delineationAssists in the preparation of key strategic planning documentation (including plan templates in MS Word, strategy/development presentation decks in MS PPT, SOPs (MS Word/PDF) and metrics reporting dashboards in MS Excel)Assists in the management of third-party vendors and track project milestones.Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, vision, values, and standards of ethics and integrityPlanning and organizing project schedules & timelinesAssess project and resource requirementsTracking and Monitoring progress towards organizational goalsAnalyzes risks and proper documentationSupports the CIO in responding to a wide range of requests, including requests from the CIO and Program Offices, or from Department-level Offices, or Congress.Proactively monitors policy developments that may have an impact on CIO areas of responsibility.Supports the design and implementation of organizational structuresIdentifies formal and informal communications channels and protocolsReviews alternative organizational CIO SupportReviews the effectiveness of existing organizational structuresSupports the design and implementation of NEW technologiesPerforms other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting officeMonitor and control day-to-day activities to ensure contract requirements and customer expectations are met.Required Qualifications and Education and ExperienceMust have and maintain a Secret personnel clearanceMust have 4 years' experience in a related field10 years' experience working in DoD environmentAbility to effectively lead and manage a small team of technical expertsExperience working with Microsoft suite applications.Highly organized and detail-oriented who knows how to manage overlapping projects and keep track of deadlinesHands on experience with data analysisExperience with writing standard operating procedures (SOPs)Embrace teambuilding and possess interpersonal skillsStrong analytical thinker with problem-solving skills and mathematical abilitiesGreat communicator who is persuasive and good at presenting informationAbove-average ability to adapt and be flexible to drive change from the business perspectiveUnderstanding of how to work in settings that present vague product parametersExperience conducting and facilitating workshops and collaborative working sessions with senior government leadershipCapable of creative problem solving and identifying tangible outputs to reach product implementationDedicates time to listen to experts across the company, understand a variety of perspectives, and strive to expand context every dayDemonstrates an affinity for constantly being curious and exploring alternatives to clients' issues.
