JOB DESCRIPTION
Employee will be working on a team while assembling parts on an axle assembly line, in a fast-paced environment.
More specifically, this position will be responsible for activities including but not limited to the following:
Builds axles through different processes including
Feeding, stripping, hand twisting, crimping, and heat shrinking wires.
Fastening brakes using an impact wrench
Installing hubs by clipping wires and torquing nuts
Placing clips and testing brakes on Spindle nut runner
Installing and checking springs and hardware
Installing caps using an impact gun, inserting the plug, tightening the nuts with a nut runner
Moving axle to staging area by using a forklift and other material handling equipment
Verifying shop orders and paint certification marks
Stacking and banding axles to prepare for shipment.
Lifting up to 35 pounds. Standing, reaching, balancing, stretching lower extremities constantly. Frequent grasping, pinching and fine manipulation. Occasionally bending and squatting.
Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Great communication skills.
Collaborative, safety conscious team player.
Prior manufacturing experience working on assembly line preferred, not required.
Hand tool experience is a plus – grease gun, torque setter, air hammer, impact gun, heat gun, tape measure, wire strippers, pneumatic crimper, nut driver, nut runner gun.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalency preferred, but not required
