Senior Security Engineer - Remote

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Security Engineer - Remote position with a Global Law Firm located in New York, NY. This is a direct hire opportunity.As a Senior Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our client's cybersecurity infrastructure, while guiding the safe implementation of cloud and AI systems. This hands-on role involves designing and administering the Microsoft 365 Security stack (Defender, Sentinel, Purview), Azure, and Entra ID. You will contribute across a hybrid environment, leading technical projects on the cutting edge of Agentic Security and Data Security Posture Management.Responsibilities:Lead the strategy, design, and implementation of scalable AI security and agentic security controlsWork closely with IT and AI acceleration teams to onboard newly developed AI use cases in a secure manner, including end-to-end DevSecOps and CSPM toolingDesign, implement, and maintain a secure and resilient cloud architecture (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) across Azure, AWS, and Office365Design and build continuous audit and alerting capabilities in cloud environmentsDevelop and implement robust identity and access management strategies for cloud environmentsMonitor and manage user access permissions, following the principle of least privilegeUse Microsoft 365 Security and Purview technologies to establish and enforce data protection policiesMonitor for data leakage to and from the cloud and on-premisesLead incident response efforts for security incidents, coordinating with internal and external stakeholdersImplement logging and monitoring solutions to detect and respond to security events in real-timeDesign, implement, and manage security infrastructure to safeguard networks, systems, and applicationsConduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address potential risksLead incident response efforts and conduct thorough investigations for security incidents or breachesWork with key stakeholders to conduct and formally document risk assessments against new technologiesCollaborate with IT, legal, and compliance teams to align security initiatives with business objectivesCommunicate security risks and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Security, Risk Management, or a related fieldAt least five years of experience in Information Security or a similar roleAwareness of basic tenets of secure software developmentSolid understanding of networking concepts, such as routing, firewalls, NAT translation, proxies, and other next-gen SASE solutionsFamiliarity with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) concepts and strategiesDeep level security information and event management (SIEM) log analysis experienceAbility to work independently on important initiatives, reporting to senior management on milestones or issuesDesired skills:Information Security certifications such as Microsoft, CISSP, CISM, Palo Alto, Splunk, or CiscoPay range: $160,000 - $185,000 per yearIf you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!Ranked a Top Staffing Firm in the U.S. by Staffing Industry Analysts for six consecutive years, Genesis10 puts thousands of consultants and employees to work across the United States every year in contract, contract-for-hire, and permanent placement roles.
