Maintenance Manager - Electrical

Maintenance & Reliability ManagerManufacturing OperationsWe are looking for a Maintenance & Reliability Manager for a modern, high-tech manufacturing plant in the Indianapolis area.This role is focused on keeping production equipment running, reducing repeat equipment failures, improving preventive maintenance, and driving better equipment reliability across the plant.The right person could come from 1 of 2 backgrounds:A Maintenance Engineer / Reliability Engineer with strong hands-on manufacturing equipment experience.A strong Manufacturing Maintenance Manager who understands equipment uptime, root cause analysis, PM programs, troubleshooting, and technician leadership.Job Function:Lead maintenance and reliability activity for production equipment in the assembly area.Improve uptime by identifying repeat failures, studying root causes, and driving corrective actions.Track key reliability measures, including downtime trends, recurring failures, and PM effectiveness.Use CMMS data, maintenance history, technician feedback, and floor observations to identify improvement opportunities.Strengthen preventive maintenance (PM) programs and support predictive or condition-based maintenance where practical.Work with maintenance technicians, engineers, and production leaders to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing/fluid handling, and manufacturing equipment issues.Support installation, startup, improvement, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.Prioritize maintenance work based on production impact, safety, reliability, and equipment risk.Provide technical direction to electrical technicians, mechanical technicians, machine repair technicians, and other maintenance team members.Remain close enough to the equipment to guide troubleshooting and support difficult repairs when needed.Requirements:7+ years of maintenance, reliability, or maintenance engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience maintaining and improving production equipment, not just facilities or building systems.Strong background with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and fluid handling equipment.Experience with preventive maintenance, CMMS systems, maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and repair follow-up.Ability to identify repeat equipment failures and help determine root cause.Experience working with maintenance technicians, engineers, and production teams to keep manufacturing processes running.Ability to read mechanical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation.Experience with downtime reduction, PM improvement, equipment reliability, or predictive maintenance is strongly preferred.Prior automotive, assembly, high-volume manufacturing, or industrial manufacturing experience is a plus.BSME or BSIE is a great addition; however, what matters most is the quality of your experience—candidates with strong, hands-on manufacturing maintenance or reliability backgrounds are highly valued, with or without a degree.FPC - FORTUNE PERSONNEL CONSULTANTS (Orlando Office)Position Location: Indianapolis For Additional Information about us: 🌐 www.fpcor.comRelevant experience: maintenance management, maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, manufacturing maintenance, equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, plant maintenance, production equipment maintenance, equipment uptime, downtime reduction, MTBF, MTTR, root cause analysis, RCA, failure analysis, CMMS, TPM, condition monitoring, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical troubleshooting, pneumatic equipment, fluid handling equipment, wiring diagrams, mechanical blueprints, automotive manufacturing, manufacturing operations
