This position is responsible for monitoring and analyzing inventory data, ensuring stock accuracy, optimizing inventory flow and investigating and correcting discrepancies. This person will collaborate closely with Operations, Planning and Warehousing teams as well as support Material Management functions.2.0Responsibilities2.1Inventory Management•Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, workflow and system constraints•Actively develop action plans to address discrepancies•Track and report slow moving and aged inventory, working with Sales and Operations to determine disposition•Coordinate required cycle counts•Identify and reconcile inventory discrepancies•Identify issues impacting inventory accuracy and develop and implement plans for resolution•Audit internal process for accuracy in FIFO. Work with warehouse manager to standardize processes to improve compliance•When necessary, instruct/train others with correct work processes•Periodically perform audits at 3rd party warehouse to ensure FIFO is maintained, corrective actions are practiced and processes are being followed•Bill of Material (BOM) analysis, as required, to ensure accurate consumption of raw materials and packaging.2.2Internal Support•Coordinate all outbound sample requirements•Provide back-up coverage for production planning responsibilities•Work with Materials Manager to lead the implementation of Supply Chain improvement opportunities and projects•Miscellaneous reporting as needed•Help establish key KPI’s for inventory reporting and prepare and present data•CHEP pallet reconciliation process.2.3Collaboration and Communication•Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, warehouse, and sales to align on inventory requirements and avoid disruptions in operations.•Communicate any potential inventory shortages, issues or concerns to relevant teams promptly.2.4General•Ensure that all work undertaken or supervised is carried out safely and without injury•Ensure that all food safety issues are reported to the appropriate manager or supervisor•Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are followed at all times (no jewelry, cell phone, nicotine in any form, etc.)•Initiates corrective action for non-conformances•Identify Opportunities for Improvement and enter into See It, Sort It, Report It system•Duties as assigned by Materials Manager•Able and willing to wear appropriate PPE as required•Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 5%3.0EducationCollege degree in Business Administration or related discipline preferred4.0Skills•Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts, IF)•Effective analytical and problem-solving abilities, time management and project management skills•Motivation to learn and take challenges•Flexibility and ability to manage multiple project/tasks•Continuous improvement and innovative mindset•Team player that demonstrates leadership abilities. Willingness to help where needed.•Excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)•Forklift experience beneficial.5.0Experience•1-2 years’ experience in logistics/inventory management and supplier relationship preferred•Experience with ERP / MRP systems.
