Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Worker to ensure our property remains safe, functional, and welcoming for guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, responding to repair requests, and assisting with preventative maintenance programs to maintain high hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, hallways, lobby areas, and exterior grounds
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff
Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting systems
Troubleshoot and fix minor mechanical and equipment issues
Replace light bulbs, repair fixtures, and maintain appliances
Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC, fire safety, and other building systems
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance logs
Assist with seasonal tasks such as landscaping or snow removal (if applicable)
Support housekeeping and front desk teams with urgent maintenance needs
Required Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous maintenance or facilities experience (hotel experience a plus)
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to use hand and power tools safely
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Maintenance certification or trade school training
Experience with hotel property management systems
Knowledge of local building and safety codes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
