Network Engineer

JD Professional certifications from Cisco (CCNA) are highly desirable. Minimum of 2 years of experience in network engineering. Proficiency in managing the lifecycle of EOL equipment. Strong knowledge of network protocols: routing and switching A positive “can do” attitude with the ability to articulate thoughts and ideas and see them to fruition Operates company’s internal data communications systems. Plans, designs and implements local area network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols Supports/troubleshoots network issues. Lead installation of items as routers and switches. Works on project implementation. Provides training and assists with proposal writing. Knowledge of network automation tools and techniques Network Operations: Manage global network operations, ensuring high availability and reliability. Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers and switches. Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting. Investigate and resolve network faults promptly to minimize downtime. Update network equipment to the latest firmware and IOS releases. Technical Expertise: Working knowledge of networking technologies including Layer-2 and Layer-3 protocols Broad knowledge and experience in switching and routing protocols Expertise in network operations and troubleshooting methodologies. Advanced understanding of Datacenter technologies Wifi Experience Work collaboratively with individuals locally and globally across multiple disciplines. Interface with internal teams, customers, and partners to provide resolution information and complete impact analysis where appropriate. Report network project status to key stakeholders regularly. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Suggest, promote, and leverage published standards to minimize environment complexity. Ensure regulatory and license compliance.
