Controller - Restaurants
Leap Brands is recruiting for a Controller for a growing restaurant company looking for a strong finance leader who understands both accounting and operations.This is not a role for someone who just wants to close books and send reports. We are looking for someone who can build structure, improve processes, support operations, and help leadership actually understand the business behind the numbers.The ideal candidate understands the pace and complexity of the restaurant industry. Multiple locations, labor fluctuations, food cost pressure, inventory, margins, operational inconsistencies, and constant movement. This role will play a major part in helping the company scale responsibly while improving visibility and accountability across the organization.ResponsibilitiesOversee all accounting and financial reporting functions for the businessManage month-end close, financial statements, reconciliations, and reporting packagesEnsure accuracy of P&Ls, balance sheets, cash flow, and operational reportingPartner closely with operations leadership to improve financial performance across locationsMonitor labor, food cost, inventory controls, and operational KPIsBuild and improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting infrastructureOversee AP, AR, payroll, banking relationships, and cash managementAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planningSupport audits, tax preparation, and external financial partnershipsIdentify operational and financial inefficiencies and help implement solutionsHelp leadership make better decisions through accurate and actionable reportingQualificationsAccounting or finance leadership experience within restaurants, hospitality, retail, or multi-unit environmentsStrong understanding of restaurant financials and unit-level economicsExperience overseeing multi-location operations preferredAbility to operate in fast-paced, evolving environmentsStrong systems and process orientationComfortable partnering directly with operations teams and executive leadershipCPA preferred but not requiredExperience with restaurant POS and accounting systems strongly preferred
